United Methodist Women: After much discussion and prayer it has been decided to break our United Methodist Women affiliation. Any money collected will be passed on to local missions. The women will continue to visit the missions we support and gather together monthly for devotions, fellowship and other missions projects as we start a new missions program entitled "WIM" (Women in Missions.) All women of the church are invited to join us.

The Women In Missions group of St. Elmo UMC is dedicated to reaching others for Christ by giving themselves in service. They have pledged themselves to be the hands and feet of Christ as they boldly spread His love to others. This mission team is devoted to hands-on mission projects that aid others and help them know of the wonderful message of a sacrificial savior that has life-changing effects on the lives of all people. The "WIM" is a ministry of care to a world that badly needs to know that God loves everyone.
Image:
At the WIM meeting in October, the women worked on Chrismon ornaments for the Christmas Tree at the new church. They did a beautiful job. Thank you so much for your hard work. The pictures above show all of the ornaments that you made.

Focus of WIM:
The focus of this group is to serve our
community and church with Hands-on mission
projects.

WIM meetings:
The WIM group is a new organization.
We meet the second Thursday of every
month. The meetings will alternate between
day meetings and night meetings.
Our next meeting is March 8th.
The time is 11am. Meeting place will be posted soon.

Mission help needed:
*Bring us your can soup/box labels for the RedBird Mission.
*Cut out any stamp that you have. Trim it well and give it
to a member of this group. These stamps help the Church
      Women United in South America.
*We need some "thinking of you cards" to send to others.
*We are asking everyone to recycle your used cards such as:
Birthday, Valentine's, Christmas, Thank You, etc. to help
St. Jude Children's Hospital. Cut off the front page of
the card and give it to Carol Drinnon. The only
stipulation is that the front of the card cannot have
writing on it. The WIM would appreciate your support.
