We are very anxiously awaiting the return to our new church facility in St. Elmo. We are anticipating the construction to be complete by February 2012. When our church was completely destroyed by fire in August 2009, we were very fortunate to have reasonably adequate insurance to cover our losses. In the design phase of the new building we were very focused on getting a building that would meet our ministry needs. The insurance has covered the construction costs and replacement of some furnishings. However, we still have needs relating to the furnishings.
In this Thanksgiving season, we have many things to be thankful for as a church and individually. Giving is a way to express your thankfulness and gratitude. The Trustees are asking the members and friends of the church to prayerfully consider making a donation to the building fund to cover expenses of the furnishings that are needed.
You may either give to the directly to the building fund and your donation will go to general items to benefit the new building or you may give for a specific item. You may also choose to give for a specific item in memory of or in honor of a family member or friend. If you choose this option, we will put your requested memorial or honorarium information on a brass plaque recognizing your donation.
